First, my DW, Lila is at the SOS Aloha Blog today — giving away 2 copies of A MIDNIGHT DANCE! If you don’t have a copy yet, pop on over there and leave a comment.
Secondly, we have another great interview for you. Please join me in welcoming Mr. Silver. Mr. Silver can you tell us who you’re married to and what she writes?
Mr. Silver: I’m married to Eve Silver and her latest release, BODY OF SIN, is the fourth in her dark, gritty urban fantasy/paranormal romance Otherkin/Sins series.
Mr. Silver: Father. Art Director. Sculptor. Gamer. Kayaker. Fisherman. Runner. Bodybuilder. Animal lover. Road tripper. Comic geek. Action-figure geek. Conan fan. Avid movie-watcher.
Mr. DiPasqua: Sounds like you’re a fun guy! Where did you and your wife meet? What convinced you that she was THE ONE?
Mr. Silver: We met at college. Her brains and her looks convinced me she was THE ONE. We are complete opposites and, in this case, opposites attract. We communicated well. Eve is a very caring, kind, loving and supportive person who would do anything for me. We’re both the same that way. I would do anything for her. And she likes my sense of humor.
Mr. Silver: I was at work. When she called to tell me, I thought she was having a heart attack or an asthma attack because she was gasping and I couldn’t understand a word she was saying. Now that I think about it, she sounded like a girl at a rock concert who’s just met a mega-star and is speechless. My reaction was very excited and extremely happy and proud.
Mr. Silver: I haven’t had the opportunity to read BODY OF SIN yet, but all her heroes are just like me, except a little more well-spoken and many have supernatural powers that I do not. And they have a six-pack. I only have a four-pack. Still working on the last two.
Mr. Silver: My wife always says I was (am) most like Prince Charming. That’s why I love her so much. That’s only until I make her angry, then I become most like Prince, the family pet (to the doghouse).
Mr. Silver: None of the above. I think of “fetch”. That’s what you get for having two grown sons who eat you out of house and home and want you to go fetch more groceries.
Mr. Silver: I’ve known my wife for 27 years; we’ve been married for 23. Being married to a romance author means you need lots of patience because the business is like a roller coaster. There are ups and downs and sometimes it’s rough to be an artist. When Eve’s under deadline, I pick up the slack—grocery shopping, laundry, take care of kids and dogs. She does the same for me when I’m under deadline. I’m always here for her to bounce off ideas or to vent, usually while we’re walking the dogs. I make sure she leaves her cave and gets some physical activity because when she’s on deadline, she often forgets to do that for herself. Her deadlines are good for my sculpting and gaming, though. No interruptions.
Mr. Silver: I just say, “Me,” or “We do a lot of experimenting.” (This time I’m the guy smirking because it’s such a ridiculous question.)
Mr. Silver: I asked Eve for her opinion on this, and she said, “Maybe Dagan from SINS OF THE HEART (book 1 in the Otherkin/Sins series) because he isn’t much into conversations; he just does what he needs to be done. He’s competent, strong, loyal, brave. The strong, silent type.”
Mr. Silver: She’s afraid of spiders. She shot a Beretta, M4 and M249SAW to do research for her books. Her favorite game is BOGGLE. She loves to kayak. She has two degrees. She taught human anatomy for many years. She hates to shop for clothes, and I’m usually the one who has to pick stuff for her because she can’t be bothered (which is a good thing because she tends to dress like one of the fishermen from the Deadliest Catch if I leave her to her own devices—in her words, she “has the fashion sense of a snail.”) [Eve interjecting here to say this is all true, especially the fashion and clothes stuff.]
Mr. Silver: From the back cover:
Once the favorite son of the Lord of the Underworld, Lokan Krayl held enviable privileges and powers. Powers that led to a devastating betrayal—murder.
Resurrected by his immortal brothers, Lokan is still trapped in purgatory. He has no way to contact his family. He has no answers. In order to find the truth about his death and who killed him, he must escape his prison. And there’s only one way out: through the twelve gates of his eternal enemy, Osiris.
But Lokan has help. Bryn Carr, the woman who duped him once before, is his beautiful yet unwanted guide. She’s been sent by his brothers to aid him. She’s his last hope. Lokan must place his fate—and that of the mortal and immortal worlds—in the hands of the one woman he can never trust.

Loved those answers gotta laugh about you buying your wife’s clothes my Hubby does the same for me LOL I really don’t like going clothes shopping.
I am afraid to say I haven’t read any of your wife’s books but they really sound great and I will be adding them to the must get list
Have Fun
Helen
So you stuck with her when she would come home smelling of formaldehyde after teaching, that’s true love. Hmmmm two boys draining the house reserves….I handt even thought of that happening (granted my two boys are only 8 mo and my girl two but before I know it they will be big and have appetites!), guess I better get my husband ready to “go fetch” too! Thanks for the chance to win, I would love to get my hands on a copy of the first in her series and read about the handsome silent get things done guy. GFC followeryahoo… Read more »
Huh, I really love the description of Body for Sin! I like those stories when a man’s fate and success depends on a woman 😛 And when it’s flavoured with some paranormal background or the set is in the underworld, I love it even more 🙂
So thank you for the post and for the giveaway 🙂
I’m a follower as mikki-mano 🙂
You sounds like a very busy man!
Hi, Mr. Silver! Your real life “opposites attract” relationship sounds as though it works very well. Super dynamics! You seem to make a great mix of artistic creativity with outdoor activity. Do your sons have an interest in art and writing?

Conan fan huh. Is it the talk show host or the movie coming out? Conan is funny even though I rarely get to watch him since I am a morning person and generally already asleep when he comes on. I can’t wait for the Conan the Barbarian to come out with Jason Mamoa. I loved him as Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones. My sons are all gamers too. Sometimes it drives me crazy when they play thier games at all hours of the night. Usually Halo or some other shooter or an RPG. I think they prefer the night so… Read more »
Another great interview with another wonderful RH – sounds like you have a very busy household. I love all your wife’s books and I can hardly wait for Lokan’s story!
what can i say lila, i supposed all the author you invited to your blog’s interview are a wonderful couple ^^
The book sounds great! Definitely would love to win a copy. Thank you for such an entertaining interview (love the picture with the dog). Have a great weekend Mr. & Mrs. Silver and Mr. & Mrs. Dipasqua!
Hilarious that you have to buy her clothes. I hate trying them on but I wouldn’t let hubby buy them. Our ideas of comfort are diagnostically opposed. I have sons too…I haven’t a clue where they put it. Less than an hr later they’re foraging again. Spiders..only good ones a dead one & I wanna see the body! I had the pleasure of interviewing Eve last year(I think it was). Love her books and was saddened to hear that she wouldn’t be continuing her gothics. They were awesome!

Oh Eve I love it! LOL every answer and I was wondering what Mr.Q would say….anyhoo, you’re husband sounds as gorgeous as you are!
So when can I come for dinner? weeeeeeeeee!
Oh, and I must find my big hair pictures…we can compare!
Wow… nice to have a personal stylist at home. 🙂
Like your pic with the dog. Both are cute! 🙂
I have to admit right now I like the idea of interviewing the author’s spouse instead of the author. It’s different, giving new insights on them and the like.
Mr. Silver, it’s so sweet for all that you do for your wife! Sounds like you are very supportive of what she does!
Funny interview! Dresses like the men from Deadliest Catch! Thats awesome! I’m sure you dress her way better than that! LOL! Thanks for sharing with us today!

This is actually the next book on my To be read pile. I am reviewing it on my blog and picked it up through netgally. I have not read a Eve Silver book and i picked it because of the excerpt. I didn’t realize it was a series though and so my question is this book OK as a stand alone or will i be totally lost when i start reading it? I’m usually a stickler for reading in order. This was a great fun interview and i enjoyed seeing another view of a author. It seems like there is… Read more »
Wow, Mr. Silver, you’re wife is a trusting woman. I wouldn’t let my husband buy my clothes! I do sympathize with your wife not wanting to shop. It’s exhausting! I pretty much buy my clothes online now. It makes everything a lot easier!
+1 Tweeted about giveaway
I have the same question as Ora – is it Conan O’Brian or the Barbarian?
That’s nice about your taking care of Eve’s wardrobe, don’t know many men willing or able to do that.
I haven’t run across Eve’s books before, that’s why I enjoy these book blogs, let’s me find more good authors.

Good afternoon, Mr. Silver and Mr. DiPasqua! Loved the interview. It was filled with a lot of humor and love.
My husband and I shop together. He seems to have a better fashion sense than I do. I hate to shop and he loves it. We are also opposites that attract and have been married for 38 years now.
Haven’t had the pleasure of reading any of Eve’s books. How long has she been a writer?
LOL “fetch” that made me smile! Great interview!

Wow, a husband that shops for his wife……heaven!! Thanks for the interview and info on your wife’s books….will be putting her on my ” to buy list”
I enjoyed reading what you guys wrote and what you do for your wives.
I have to honestly say that i have yet to read any of the books.
If i win, i would want which ever you guys recomend i read.
Another great interview but I am curious if she dresses like a fisherman on her own, what kind of clothes do you end up choosing for her?
Great Interview Mr Silver!
Can you teach my husband to fetch? That would be greatly appreciated!
Virginia C: Yes. Older son is a character designer for video games and a sculptor.
Ora: Conan the Barbarian. And by comic geek, I mean I collect comics.
Cathy P: Eve’s been writing since I met her.
Mandy B: Nice ones.
Hi everyone! Thanks for popping by.
Modokker, I’m going to answer your question instead of hubby. In an ideal world, you’d read SINS OF THE HEART then SINS OF THE SOUL then SINS OF THE FLESH before BODY OF SIN. But as I writing the book, I did keep in mind new readers who hadn’t read the rest of the series, and I’ve heard from other reviewers who jumped into BODY OF SIN that they were okay and didn’t feel lost. But if you can get your hands on the others first, it might be more fun 😉
Have you ever made it out to ComiCon?
Mr. SilverThank you for sharing about Eve that we normally wouldn’t know, and for not minding answering our questions…:) I love Eve’s books, and her stories are a joys to read.My Hubby & I are opposites and alike, but we have managed for 36 years. Like your wife, I hate shopping for clothe’s, but ask my daughter to help me choose things that would look good on me, as long as she promise not to dress me funny. She’s taller than me as she reminds me frequently, and forgets I haven’t got her long legs…*S*Is there anywhere in the world… Read more »
Great Interview, Mr. Silver. I think that a sense of humor is one of the most important things in a marriage and it’s easy to see yours is alive and well. My husband and I are fortunate that we both have a warped sense of humor and he has an extremely quick wit that keeps me in stitches. Given the love that is easily detected in your words, what was the most romantic vacation you and Mrs. Silver have ever taken (other than the honeymoon)? What has been your favorite family vacation? Mrs. Silver is a new to me author… Read more »

Hi Mr. Silver,
I also believe in opposites attracting. It’s a fun relationhip learning from your partner and teaching them a thing or two. Sense of humour is key and I think you have that in the bag! I really enjoy darky gritty paranormal romances and look forward to reading her books which are new to me.
Thank you for joining in the ball.

Thanks for sharing the photos! I must say, you both make an attractive looking couple! Aww the strong, silent type is what many girls like, including myself, so I’ll be sure to check out SINS OF THE HEART since I like these heroes.

No need to enter my name as I am already fully convinced of of the “Otherkin” series, which is very different from other UF I’ve come across and well worth looking into.
Just popped by to say: I’ve had the opportunity to meet Even, and how fun for me to see her wedding picture!
Maya
“Fashion sense of a snail,” huh. Actually some snails have pretty shells. Not that they have much say in it all. She is lucky you have good taste (I assume) in clothes for her. Great reviews for BODY OF SIN. The premise of the story is a bit different and sounds interesting. The use of Egyptian mythology, etc. adds a good, new twist to the stories. I read a little paranormal and will have to give this series a try. The four books look like a good series. I am a GFC Follower as librarypat. I follow on Twitter as… Read more »
Hey there Mr Silver Great Interview I adored all your answers, wish my Dh like to shop I get frustrated shopping for clothes I tend to go to small town boutiques where the assitants actually assist you . so is there anything that you have picked out for eve that she has said ” What the H*ll were you thinking”
I have not read eves books This will change very soon….

Whew, for a moment there I thought you were going to follow up “She’s afraid of spiders” with “She shot a Beretta, M4 and M249SAW at spiders” which would have really demostrated her fear of arachnids.
Can’t wait to read Lokan’s story!
